A complete business phone system that works on the job site.
Auto-attendant for off-hours quote requests, working-hours routing, hunt groups for crew dispatch, A2P 10DLC SMS for sending photos and quotes — every feature included, on a cellular line that rings through truck Bluetooth, basement crawl spaces, and CarPlay the same way personal calls do.
How Kelir gets used in contractors & trades work.
CarPlay native routing
Drive to a job, calls route through CarPlay automatically — same as your personal cell. No softphone fighting CarPlay for control. Hands-free is real hands-free.
Job-site reliability without Wi-Fi
Calls run on cellular VoLTE, not Wi-Fi. No "the app dropped because the trailer Wi-Fi died." Same coverage as your personal line, same VoLTE quality.
Quote-and-schedule SMS
Two-way SMS over a real cellular number — A2P 10DLC pre-registered. Customers texting for quotes, photos of the problem, schedule confirmations all flow through the standard Messages app.
Crew dispatch (Team plans)
Run multiple trucks? Hunt groups route inbound dispatch calls across the crew on the schedule, with a designated catcher for missed calls. Each truck gets its own line, central admin via app.kelir.io.
What changes when the line is real.
- Calls ring on the dialer in trucks, basements, attics, anywhere your personal cell rings.
- CarPlay routing is native — automatic, no app interaction.
- VoLTE HD voice means clearer audio over bad cellular, not garbled VoIP-over-data.
- App doesn't need to be open — calls come through whether you're texting your foreman or running an estimating app.
- 2FA SMS reliable for supplier portals, payment apps, financing platforms.
- Per-truck cellular lines on Team plans, central admin, hunt groups for dispatch.
- Bring your existing business number — most contractors have a number that's been on trucks and yard signs for years.
Most contractors & trades start on Kelir Solo.
Solo contractors and small one-truck operations start on Kelir Solo. Multi-crew operations (3+ techs in the field) want Team Starter — each tech has their own cellular line, dispatch routes through hunt groups, the office manager runs everything from the web portal. Team Pro adds analytics for tracking response times and missed-call rates.
Who it's not for: If your operation is dispatch-heavy with a real call center taking high volumes (large HVAC ops with dedicated dispatchers running 100+ jobs/day with real-time agent supervision), you're in contact-center territory — RingCentral RingCX, Five9, or NICE CXone are better fits than Kelir's UCaaS routing.
Common questions
It works exactly as well as your personal cellular line works — same network, same VoLTE, same coverage characteristics. If your personal cell works in the basement, Kelir works. If your personal cell drops in the basement, Kelir drops the same way. There's no extra Wi-Fi or app-suspension failure mode layered on, which is the issue that makes VoIP business numbers worse than personal lines in field work.
CarPlay treats Kelir as a regular cellular line — incoming calls show on the dashboard, outgoing calls go through CarPlay's standard interface, and the in-car routing (steering-wheel button, voice command) works the same as for your personal line. You can pick which line is the default for outgoing CarPlay calls in iOS Settings.
On Kelir Team Starter, yes — Departments give you separate US business numbers (one for residential, one for commercial, one for emergency after-hours), each with their own routing rules, working hours, and voicemail. Customers calling each line get the right routing automatically.
Yes — Team plans include the web portal at app.kelir.io. The office manager sees inbound calls, voicemails, SMS threads, and routing config from a desktop. Field techs handle calls on their phones via the cellular line. Two surfaces, one system.
Two-way MMS is supported — send and receive photos and documents over the cellular line, same as personal Messages. Pre-registered for A2P 10DLC, so business volume doesn't get carrier-blocked.
