A complete business phone system. With a real working-hours boundary.
Auto-attendant with custom greeting, working-hours routing that goes silent at 6 pm, voicemail with email transcripts for triage, call recording for client conversations, two-way SMS — every feature included, on a real cellular line that respects the boundary between work and personal.
How Kelir gets used in solo professionals work.
Real working-hours boundary
Set business hours in the Kelir mobile app. After-hours calls go to voicemail with a custom greeting. Lock-screen DND on the work line; personal line stays live. Real boundary, not vibes.
Voicemail with transcripts on the lock screen
Voicemail arrives as text + audio by email. Triage from the lock screen — read transcript, decide whether to call back tonight or tomorrow. Searchable, forwardable, audit-ready.
2FA SMS for client portals
Real US cellular number means banks, Stripe, MLS, government sites, and finance platforms accept your Kelir number for 2FA SMS — same as a personal cell line. No "virtual number" rejections.
Auto-attendant + custom greeting
Type the greeting, preview the AI voice, activate. Time-of-day rules, holiday calendar runs unattended through the year. Professional inbound experience for a one-person business.
Recording for client conversations
On-demand recording (press a key during the call) for consultative work where you'd want a transcript later. Encrypted at rest. Optional consent disclosure prompt for two-party-consent jurisdictions.
Bring your existing business number
Already on RingCentral, Dialpad, Quo, or Google Voice? Port your number in 1–3 business days. Temp Kelir number during the port window so you don't go dark.
What changes when the line is real.
- Calls ring on the native dialer — your business line behaves like your personal line.
- Working-hours auto-attendant respects the boundary; weekends don't bleed into the workweek.
- Voicemail transcripts arrive as text — triage during lunch, callbacks after dinner.
- 2FA SMS reliably accepted across banking, payment, and identity services.
- CarPlay, Apple Watch, lock-screen — the work line behaves like a real phone everywhere.
- The number is yours — port out anytime, no vendor lock-in.
- $24.99/month, USD. No setup fee, no contract.
Most solo professionals start on Kelir Solo.
Solo professionals are the canonical fit for Kelir Solo. One business number, every feature, no per-seat math. If your practice grows to a small team (a partner consultant, a virtual assistant), Team Starter at $29.99/seat/mo is the next step.
Who it's not for: If you primarily work in a coworking space or office on stable Wi-Fi and your phone is rarely the work, the cellular advantage is smaller and Grasshopper/Quo's price floor makes more sense. If you're testing a side project and don't yet have paying clients, the free Google Voice tier is fine until you do.
Common questions
Yes — that's the entire point of eSIM. Modern phones (iPhone XS+, Pixel 3+, etc.) support multiple eSIM profiles; your personal SIM (physical or eSIM) and your Kelir business eSIM run side-by-side, with iOS / Android letting you set which line is the default for outgoing calls and SMS.
Set hours in the portal (e.g. Mon–Fri 9–6 ET). During those hours, the line rings normally. Outside those hours, calls route to a voicemail box with a custom greeting ("Thanks for calling — I'll return your call Monday morning"). Lock-screen Do Not Disturb on the work line means notifications don't intrude on personal time.
Yes. Kelir's recording is consent-aware — a configurable disclosure prompt plays at the start of recorded calls. Storage is encrypted. Retention defaults to 1 year, configurable on Team Pro from 30 days to 7 years. You're responsible for compliance with the laws of your state and your callers' states (one-party vs two-party consent jurisdictions); Kelir provides the tooling.
If you take fewer than 5 client calls a week and price is your primary constraint, Grasshopper or Sideline at $14–14.49/month are likely the better fit. Kelir's value comes from the fact that the line is your phone — for solo pros where missed calls cost real money, the cellular quality is worth the extra $10/month.
Outbound caller-ID is your Kelir business number; recipients see the number and (if they have you in contacts) whatever name they've saved. CNAM caller-name display is supported for US carriers that accept submitted names — propagation across carriers takes 30–90 days for new numbers.
